Louis & Marilise | Wedding | Good Hope Reserve, Northern Cape

I was excited when Marilise booked me for their wedding at Good Hope Reserve, just outside of Barkley West in the Northern Cape, because I know what an amazingly beautiful venue it is. The reserve is situated along the Vaal River and has the most amazing views from up at the resort, which looks down onto the river valley.

From the time I woke up it had been raining in Kimberley, but the type of rain that is pretty set in. By the time we got to the resort it was still raining, with no sign of the sun anywhere! I could see Marilise looked rather nervous the whole time that her hair and make-up was being done, but when the time came to get dressed she couldn't stop giggling and smiling:) And that's when I realised - come rain or shine, she was about to marry the man of her dreams ♥

After the ceremony in the lovely stone chapel, we headed out to do their shoot - and believe it or not, the rain had stopped! Although it was too unsafe to go to the favorite photo spot on the rocks in the river, we still made the best of what we had. Marilise and Louis never stop laughing and giggling, which is great to photograph:)
