Nico & Belinda | Hogsback Engagement Shoot | Eastern Cape
Nico and Belinda are such a sweet and humble couple. Both of them grew up on farms in the Free-State, and then they found each other, fell in love, and now they're getting married:)
This weekend in was such a treat - I think I jumped up and did a happy dance when Belinda sent me an email asking if we could do their engagement shoot in the forests of Hogsback in the Eastern Cape. She explained that this was a really special place to them, and besides anything else, it is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful!
We began shooting near the starting point of the Madonna and Child Waterfall, and took some sweet shots all the way down the (steep) hiking trail until we reached the falls. Shooting in the forest was such a different experience for me as a photographer - here in the Northern Cape it's usually just veld and wide open blue skies, so it was a treat to be able to shoot in among lush green foliage and mottled sunlight for a change;)
When we had finished shooting at the falls, we headed home via the same (steep) hiking trail - which was now uphill - so we scored a great free cardio session there too;)
